Easy Tips to Optimize Your Landing Page

Easy Tips to Optimize Your Landing Page
I am sure this has happened to many business owners. You started an email marketing or PPC campaign for a new product, service promotion or to increase your sales leads. You spent a lot of time and effort but still visitors are conversions are low. Here are a ways to improve a landing page:

You are In the Right Place

Messaging is an important aspect of your landing page. When a visitor clicks on your advertising and is taken to a landing page, they expect to see what they are looking for. A clear and relevant headline will reassure them that they are in the correct place. The headline, which should be at the top of your landing page, is the biggest piece of text on the page.

You can Trust Us

A landing page should instill trust into your visitors and convince them to take the next step. There are several ways to gain the trust of your visitors:

1. Trust Logos

Is your company apart of local business group, industry group, or have certifications that are related to the service or product your company offers? Do you use secure socket layer (SSL) like Verisign or Geo Trust on your website?

If yes, then add these trust symbols to your landing page. Don’t place any trust symbols that you are not affiliated with. It’s not smart to start off by lying to your visitors.

2. Testimonials

Why get rid of a good thing. Visitors like to see how other people feel about buying your product or using your service. And don’t just limit yourself to testimonials about your products. You can use testimonials that highlight your customer service or about your check out process.

3. Privacy Policy

If you have a form on your landing page that you want visitors to fill out then don’t overlook the importance of adding a privacy policy. Visitors are afraid to give out their information fearing it will be sold to third parties or used in other ways. Placing a few lines that outline your policy or linking to your privacy policy will ease the mind of the visitor.

You Want Us

A common mistake in many landing pages is writing about the product or service features instead of the benefits. A visitor is interested in reading about what the product/service can do for them. Also, overlooked factors like the location of the company or where you ship to can influence a visitor’s interest and improve the quality of the lead.

Take the Next Step

The call to action on your landing page is meant to get visitors to complete a specific goal that you set. Every landing page should have a clear and specific goal that you are trying to accomplish such as to fill out a form or to call for a consultation.  The call to action should stand out from the rest of the page and should be used at more than once on a page. Placing the call to action button at the top, in the middle, and at the end of the landing page will serve as a reminder of what to do next.
