Everyday I wake up in the morning, log in to my Facebook account and see 30-50 notifications waiting for my. Just because people tag me in photos and videos too much! But now I have found the solution and very easily using my Facebook :) If you too have many friends on Facebook like me, then you may have faced this situation several times when someone tags you in different photos and videos and whenever someone like or comment under that photo or video, you get a notification and Hence you receive dozens of unnecessary notifications which are not required at all. And a row of tagged picture will also be displayed on your profile which is important for all of us. There is an option available in your Facebook account already with which you can block anyone from tagging you in any picture or any video but most of you don't know about it. In this article I am going to tell you the process to stop unnecessary notifications you receive from photos/videos tagging. How to stop Photos/videos Tagging on Facebook.
Log in to your facebook account with your Email and password
Click on Account on the right top corner of the page, a list will appear
Select Privacy Settings
A new page will open after this where you will see list of your privacy settings
Under the list, you will see link of Customize Settings, click this link.
Next page will open with many different buttons, scroll down and you will see " Things others Shares". Next to it, you will see text "Photos and videos I'm tagged in" with a button saying Edit settings. Press this button
A new popup will appear. If you have not changed any setting here before then it will look like this.
But if you know this already :p then it would be different :)
So now,
If you choose:
Everyone, then everyone will be able to tag you in any picture.
Friends only, then only your friends will be able to tag you in their any photo or video
Friends of Friends, then friends of your friends will also be able to tag you.
You can also disallow everyone if you don't want even a single tag, Simply click Customize and choose Only Me.
You can also allow or disallow this tag function for any specific people respectively.
You cannot remove pictures from here which are already tagged, so if you want to see or remove photos or videos in which you are already tagger, then simply goto your profile, click on Photos in left sidebar, your albums will appear, Under your albums you will see everything in which you were tagged before, to remove tag from anyone them, click on it and click remove tag option available with your name.
